Mark of the Absolute is an unadulterated Cameroonian movie shot in Yaounde and Bambui. The 90-minute film, written, produced and directed by Asaba Ferdinand has been in circulation for a couple of weeks now. According to Asaba, emerging film director in English-speaking Cameroon, the demand for it is speedily growing, making multiplication of CDs inevitable. That is the essence of his trip to China where he also intends to lobby support for the embryonic Cameroonian film industry. Mark of the Absolute tells the story of a young boy whose childhood dream of becoming a priest is almost thwarted by worldly pleasures, but he gets back on the rails, thanks to providence. It stars Yimbu Emmanuel, Solange Yijika, Nintai Vivian, Vugar Samsam and Henry Ndengue. The film also features up-rising actors and actresses including; Linda Njikta, Chinepoh Cosson, Patience Fominyen, Chi Anthony and Agwe George. |
