On the line from Douala where Mimi has been sojourning, the artiste told TIPTOPSTARS she is bracing up to give Cameroon what the country has not enjoyed for some time now. "When they would have digested Nice & Lovely, Cameroonians would find no reason why they shouldn't keep loving RnB," she said. She is guest on the recent edition of M'boa, an RnB and Hip-Hop show on Canal 2 International, run by Tony Nobody. Upon her return to Yaounde, Mimi GAL and her manager will continue media publicity as well as plan for concerts, the artiste told us. Nice & Lovely is the result of months of sleepless nights spent by the artiste and a huge team of technicians, packaging the product. The songs were recorded in a Yaounde studio, the clips shot in Cameroon and post-produced in China. Director/producer Joyce Kuchah was modest when TIPTOPSTARS spoke to him. On the line from China, he said he would rather the public give its appraisal. "Then, I would be able to know what to add or subtract in Mimi's next album," he explained. The album will be distributed nationwide and in countries such as Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana. Mimi GAL hails from Nkambe in the Donga Mantung Division of the North West region. He is a Maitrise student in the University of Yaounde II with an unending passion for singing. She has composed over 40 songs. |
