Just like within other Cameroonian communities in the disapora, the one is Germany is a whole story on its own. The lives the people from this great Central African triangle live there cannot be easily summarized. It would take volumes of works (in any form) to completely tell the story. In cinema, it requires a lengthy film, segmented into countless story parts to represent Cameroonian diaspora life in Germany. The producers of Na-Ja, an upcoming TV series clearly understood this and easily went for that option.

Soon after September 6, 2014, cast and crew will start bracing to go to selected Heilbronn-German locations for the filming of some 100 episodes of the Cameroonian series that has been hugely publicized within the past couple of weeks. By then, producers of the series have told Afrikka Radio’s African Cocktail and TIPTOPSTARS respectively, the final cast of the series would have been set. “Filming of the series begins on March the 26th, 2015,” producer Wesleg Nanse announced on radio recently.

According to the Germany-based Cameroonian filmmaker, the filming of Na-Ja will run for two years. Pre-selection of the actors to feature in the series had already been done through performing videos that could be found on the Na Ja Film Production social network space.

The series which will be jointly sponsored by Challenge Camerounaise (a socio-economic and cultural platform that brings together Cameroonians in Germany), Festival Tubingen, Festival Ludwigshafen, and Umzugmitstudenten de 14, is awaited with much anxiety.
