Who becomes the next prettiest African lady living in Germany? The answer to this question is what observers and lovers of African culture are looking forward to having come Saturday August 4, 2012. The beauty crown will be fitted on the head of the deserving winner at an event, billed for Bamler Str 90, Essen and expected to attract the biggest attention in that German western city.

Organizers of the Faces of Africa (as the contest is dubbed) say the day will be marked by several exciting items on the schedule including a typically African-styled fashion parade, musical and other entertainment interludes, award of cash prizes and certificates.

Organizers of the contest also told TIPTOPSTARS that the lady declared winner at the end of the day will bag home a handsome sum of 1000 Euros. This lucky beauty queen will be the deserving winner of a panel of Judges comprising three people, two ladies and a gentleman.A release sent to our newsroom read: “At the entrance, guests will receive alongside their tickets envelopes containing the voting papers - red for phase 1, white for phase 2 violets for phase 3 and pink for the winner’s phase. At each stage the public (spectators) will be expected to vote for candidates of their choice.”

Meanwhile, Faces of Africa is said to be an event that promotes integration through showcasing the different arts and cultural expressions of the continent. The initiative has opted to select African fashion and put it on the world stage via sons and daughters of the continent living in the diaspora. “It also seeks to re-direct the minds of young Africans to their roots,” the press release states further.

Organizers also indicate that with just 60 Euros potential guests can secure a VIP ticket that will affix special Faces of Africa treatment benefits to them. he event will be hosted by one of Cameroon’s matchless event makers,  Sama Ndango, otherwise known as Mr Fix IT.
