Number 1 CoverThe Cameroonian gospel music landscape gives birth to yet another child. As from Saturday July 28, 2012, it officially receives and presents young Yunick J. Yuniwoh as the latest singer in this genre. That will happen soon after his debut album is made public in a crowd-puller launch billed for Dallas-Texas in the United States of America. The said album has been anxiously awaited by fans and friends of the young artiste who have always noticed a God-given talent in Yunick and hoped it was going to materialize some day. Now it has.

Pregnant with morally-blended and prophetic messages, Number 1, Yunick Yuniwoh’s album is carefully packaged to suite the taste of gospel music audience. It is rich in 8 beautifully crafted tracks that appeal not only to the ears, but pricks the mind. Perhaps songs such as No Worries, The Dream and Tomorrow’s Hope re-establishes dashed hopes and sets the audience intended for, on a rail of endless successes in Jesus’ name. When this is achieved, there is obviously a cause to celebrate, hence Celebration.

Meanwhile, song guru and devout Christian Yunick is definitely being prophetic about his eventual leading status in the art he knows best when he sings Number 1. His future concerts and performance of the album on the market will surely be living testimonies of the success planned for the new gospel singer by the Almighty God whom Yunick serves with no reserve.

Other songs in the album are Aint No Time, Gospel Routine and Hola Hola. Featuring in the album that was recorded in Yaounde by THbeatmaker are Vipa D, Yoriday and Belaithy. It is mastered in Dallas-Texas (by B-Eazy Production) and will be circulating in the USA and Africa.

Born in Nkambe in Donga-Mantung Division of the North West region of Cameroon, Yunick Yuniwoh was raised in the Centre region. He grew up liking the truth and not compromising it in whatever circumstances. “That’s what inspired me to get into music, since I needed to voice it out,” he told TIPTOPSTARS Editor on the line to Dallas recently. “Also, the need to bring God closer to mankind and stretch a helpful hand to the needy thereby instilling hope and encouraging progress caused me to go the music way,” he went on. It is through singing that the young musician hopes to send across this message of hope, so dear to him and the world, marked in some places by suffering.

Yunick who plans to hold concerts in Cameroon after the maiden album launch is a lover of African values. “That’s why I’ll always stick to traditional meals such as fufu and njama njama,” he said. Fufu and najama njama is a delicacy from some parts of the talented singer’s region of origin. He currently resides in Dallas-Texas, USA.
