ARABIAN_NITE"There are many talented English-speaking Cameroonian youths who unfortunately lack exposure," says Aweh Valentine, an official of Our Home Production Inc., a Yaounde-based production house. Aweh adds: "Bringing them together to showcase their skills is not only a way of encouraging them, but is our major challenge."

    "That is why we initiative this programme," says Kingsley Timah, Our Home Production Inc. director, justifying Models' Nite.

    Models' Nite is a platform for youths to showcase their talents in various domains including singing, dancing, acting, modelling and medicine. It is an initiative of Our Home Production Inc. which kicked off recently in Yaounde.

    Each month, talented youths, most of whom are searching for sponsors, gather to perform. The bests in the various disciplines are recognised and awarded. "We have even gone a step further by opting to sponsor the album of the best singer of Models' Nite," Aweh confirms. His collaborator, Timah adds: "Then we shall enrol our most valuable models and designers in training centres and register them for international competitions."

    According to officials of the production house, Models' Nite will take place in all 10 regions of Cameroon. "This will enable talented youths in certain less active areas of the country to present themselves," says Aweh.

    Models' Nite benefits from the support of Dr Mofor Pride, a young and dynamic Cameroonian who is so concerned about the health of youths. The most recent edition of the show took place last Friday 11 September 2009. Meanwhile Models' Nite 001, a couple of months ago was massively attended with Hip-Hop star, King Aluan performing and journalist Tikum Mbah Azonga as guest of honour. It was covered by CRTV and broadcast on weekend show, "Tam-Tam Weekend".

Meanwhile special editions of Models' Nite will take place in Santa (11 December 2009) and Bamenda (20 December 2009).
