China Wahala tells the story of Cameroonians in populous China. It condemns the exploitative nature of compatriots who instead of hosting their fellow countrymen who go there for greener pastures, dupe them. The Kucha Joyce film was released and launched last year. Producer Kucha Joyce and crew are back to work to produce part 2 of the movie. According to the University of Yaounde I Theratre Arts graduate who teaches English in China, shooting of China Wahala 2 is over and the crew is doing the finishing touches. The film will be released early next year and launched in Cameroon. “It will be a must-watch movie,” says assistant director Asaba Ferdinand who has just returned to Cameroon from China.
