As actors grow, they encounter many challenges. One of such challenge could be to get on set with a internationally renowned actor. Just when it is announced that they'll be featuring in a movie, starring the said star, many rising actors develop goose pimples. Then few minutes to set, their hearts beat fast. Then, when the shot is called, some become speechless or would babble over their lines. Even broadcasters suffer that malady. That was however not the case with Solange Yijika who is today one of Cameroon's most admired actresses. The talented actress recently starred in a movie, alongside some of Africa's bests, Emeka Ike and Tonto Dike. The Cameroonian artist played without any complex and did it so well. "Who is that Nigerian girl," someone seeing Yijika first time asked. "Is acting a preserve of Nigeria, why would you think she is a foreign actress," a neighbour retorted. Indeed, it was Cameroonian-born Yijika in an art she knows best. Like other Cameroonian actors in the production, Yijika dished out her lines smoothly. Perhaps, the big achievement was an additional point on the actress' already rich CV. She was on set with renowned actors from the world's leading film industry, after Hollywood [according to the United Nations]. She told us it was a great experience. "It was challenging though, but I had to grab such a golden opportunity to show the world what stuff I was made off," Yijika told us. "I was not scared. Like any other passionate actress, I enjoyed going on set with a big brother Emeka and big sister Tonto," she continued. She added: "I was even more relaxed in the presence and performed better than before." In an interview [coming up soon] with Emeka, the Nigerian movie star told us Yijika was good on set. "She is flexible," he said. It should be recalled that the rising Caùmeroon movie queen featured in an earlier movie starring Jim Iyke. She hopes to have more of such experiences. Yijika has features in Trials of Passion, Mark of the Absolute, Great Pain, etc.
