These names ring a bell - Achalle, Sydney, Zinnia! They are three of English-speaking Cameroon's iconic youths. They are singers par excellence! Achalle is the winner of the 2006 "Stars 2 Demain" song competition. In 2008, Sydney became the first winner of the "Africa Star" international song competition. Just a couple of weeks ago, Zinnia emerged champion of the "Muttzig Star" national song competition. The trio will be on stage in Yaounde on 5 September. They, including Sley, another up-and-coming Buea-based R&B singer and others, will be special guests of Nation of Husslers and the Daddy Black Band. They are expected to thrill hundreds at the Centre Cultural Petit Tam-Tam located at the Entreé Camp Sic Nlonkak neighbourhood. The show is a pilot event aimed at laying ground works for a grand festival billed for Yaounde in December. The festival, dubbed URBAN-MANIA will bring together artists in domains such music, dancing, craft work, painting, modelling, fashion designing, video arts photography, etc. They artists, mostly those that have been in oblivion will exhibit their products to the appreciation of visitors to the event.
