Monday 31 August 2009 is the D-day! Two of Nigeria's most renowned actors are due to arrive in Cameroon. Emeka Ike and Ini Edo were programmed to be in the country earlier, but due to other exigencies, they could not. Their tables have thus been cleared and they are set for the journey to Central Africa's giant, we are told. According to one of the artists' Cameroonian hosts, both Nollywood stars have been very cooperative and willing to show up in Cameroon, where they have millions of fans. They will be taking part in a giant film project.
The Neba Lawrence film will be shot on locations in Yaounde, beginning a few hours after their arrival. Emeka and Ini will be playing alongside other Cameroonian actors including Tangie Suh Nfor, Muma Pascal (Bob), Solange Yijika, Janvie Ngongang, Magdelen Agbor, Eyong Quinta, Yimbu Emmanuel, Chiatoh Collins, Nsuh George, Lynno Lovert, etc. The Ayi Chatou Inoua production is going to be another rencontre for a cream of talented actors in Cameroon and their counterparts of Nigeria. It comes a few months after an Agbor Gilbert production featuring Jim Iyke, one of Nollywood's iconic actors.
