1110626_81654102.jpgThe Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) is in terms with Collywood. Amadou Vamoulke is convinced young Cameroonian film makers can make things happen. After all, he had watched Agbor Gilbert’s The Blues Kingdom at the launching of the movie in Yaounde and made positive comments. Little doubt again that the movie was projected on CRTV recently. Vamoulke, we are told has watched other Collywood movies and has been moved. Then came ! Vamoulke could no longer hide his feelings. “Collywood deserves a place here,” the GM must have told himself. It’s now time for the national broadcaster to come in. In a recent working session with the CRTV GM, some Collywood representatives charted a way forward for our industry. It filtered from the meeting that CRTV has started considering replacing the foreign telefilms with local ones. To that effect, Vamoulke has tasked Collywood to make available scripts, films and documentaries, some of which the corporation will assist in their production. According to CFI SG, Chiatoh Collins, Collywood film makers should not go top sleep with such good news. He said in a recent communiqué “I hope you will treat this information with the urgency”.
