zigoto2.jpgZigoto, one of Cameroon’s most renowned film makers has been home on holidays. Zigoto who has just obtained a Masters in Film Making from the Kingston University in the UK has been giving back to Cameroon what he has acquired. In successive sessions, the author of Public Order, Taboo, Muele and The Match has drilled young film makers in several aspects of the art. All along, Zigoto has been praising Cameroonian actors and actresses for what he says is an incredible display of talent, after watching them on set. “I can bet you Cameroon is blessed with talented actors and actresses,” he told this reporter. “I’ve been out there to Europe, but I’ve not seen actors and actresses with substance like the ones we have here in Cameroon,” he added.  “In just three years, the story will be different.”
Zigoto has much in store for Cameroon. He left Cameroon in 2007 for a Cheveneng scholarship. In May 2008, he visited home with a team of film makers from the UK for The Match, a movie shot in Babessi in the North West Region. Before then, Zig, as he is fondly called had travelled widely, performing. He says cinema remains his passion.
